The Veeam division at Workgroup has announced that the Veeam nworks Smart Plug-In (SPI) for VMware has achieved VMware Ready status. This designation indicates that the Veeam nworks SPI has passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware, and is now listed on the VMware Partner Product Catalog, says Garron Dace, product manager: Veeam at Workgroup. “Passing the extensive VMware-specific testing helps ensure that Veeam nworks SPI makes the best use of VMware technology and is ready for deployment in customer environments,” he adds. By using the nworks SPI, enterprises can bridge a critical gap in enterprise systems management by integrating virtualisation with the existing management framework. Further, by managing their virtual environments with HP Operations Manager and the Veeam nworks SPI, organisations can minimise training and support costs, improve service delivery and increase operator and administrator productivity.
